VEGAN?

All too often, those choosing to live as ethical vegans find themselves grappling with a world that either doesn’t understand their choice or, is even hostile to it. Facing pushback from family, friends, and society, ethical vegans may feel they need to defend their decision to live a life free of harming non-human animals. The result is often a feeling of disconnectedness from both those closest to them, and the culture at large.
The primary reason people decide to embrace the vegan lifestyle is an abhorrence of institutionalized animal abuse. Being conscious of and attuned to the plight of many of the world’s animals can be overwhelming to people, often resulting in depression, frustration, and deep anger.
It’s important for those who are following this path to be able to fully express themselves to someone who understands and appreciates this life-altering journey. Equally important is finding ways to cope with the myriad emotions that may arise.
As an ethical vegan psychotherapist, I understand all too well what you might be feeling and I want to help you find ways to more fully enjoy the compassionate path you have chosen.
